At 14:00–15:00 on Friday, 5 July, as part of the Lampa discussion festival, the Uzzibsnī (‘Make a Flash’) stage in Cēsis Castle Park will be the location of the discussion ‘Eastern border. The security of our country: words and deeds’, organised by SJSC "State Real Estate". At the event, the stakeholders involved in strengthening Latvia’s national border with Belarus and Russia will dispel existing myths about the security of the country’s Eastern border. The discussion will also be available for listening online.

Security has never been as important as it is now. It has been talked about, thought about, and worked on a lot. People are invited to take part in the discussion, where they will be able to ask questions and receive honest answers about the processes taking place on the border between Latvia and Russia, and between Latvia and Belarus. Questions for the discussion can be submitted in advance here: ej.uz/LAMPA_austrumu_robeza.

The participants of the discussion will include Latvia’s Minister of Defence Andris Sprūds, Minister of the Interior Rihards Kozlovskis, deputy chief of the State Border Guard, general Juris Martukāns, SJSC "State Real Estate" member of the Board Jeļena Gavrilova, and Chairman of the Board of SJSC "Latvijas Valsts radio un televīzijas centrs" Ģirts Ozols. The discussion will be moderated by Monta Zaumane the creator of the Instagram channel  MONTATALKSSECURITY. The conversation will be broadcast live on SRE’s Facebook page and in the discussion section of LAMPA festival’s website.
