SJSC “State Real Estate” Chairman of the Supervisory Board
On 30th December 2019 he was appointed as the Member of the Council, and on 8 January 2020 he was elected as the Chairman of the Council of State Joint-Stock Company State Real Estate.
Since 2015, Jānis Garisons is the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence. In this institution he has also held a number of other leading positions: from 2013 to 2015 he has been the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence – Policy Director, from 2009 to 2013 – Political Director, from 2007 to 2009 – Director of the Crisis Management and Mobilisation Department and from 2005 to 2007 – Deputy Director of the Crisis Management and Mobilisation Department.
Prior to that, J. Garisons worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held a position of Director of the Security Department from 2004 to 2005, from 2004 to 2005 he worked as the Head of NATO and European Security Division and from 2002 to 2003 – the Head of Regional Cooperation and Arms Control. From 1999 to 2002, J. Garisons was First Secretary of the Latvian Embassy in Norway and from 1997 to 1999 – Head of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
J. Garisons obtained a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies at the U.S. Army War College and Master’s Degree in History Science of the History and Philosophy Faculty at the University of Latvia. He has attended training in the Geneva Security Policy Centre in Switzerland, and also completed an anti-terrorism course in the USA.
J. Garisons has received a number of awards, including Fourth Class Order of Viesturs, Certificates of Gratitude from the Cabinet of Ministers and the Prime Minister.
Since 2016, J. Garisons is serving in the National Guard.
SJSC “State Real Estate” Deputy Chairman of the Council
Inta Komisare – Deputy Chairman of the Council from 19 October 2016 to 18 October 2021 inclusive.
Previous work experience of Mrs. Komisare is associated with public sector financial operations and finance management, including, managerial positions in the municipal corporations.
More than 10 years of experience in financial operations management unit management in one of the largest and well-arranged municipalities of Latvia - Ventspils. Her responsibility was budgeting and follow-up, as well as administration of taxes payable to the municipal budget and management of preparation of consolidated financial statements. A number of important development projects and structural reforms were carried out at Ventspils City Council, as a result of which municipal financial management processes were improved.
The experience is gained also during the crisis period, by monitoring financial stabilisation process at Adazi municipality. Through successful cooperation of stabilisation process supervisor and management of the municipality, solvency was restored and stabilisation process was terminated. Since August 2014, Mrs. Komisare fulfils the duties of Director of the Department for Monitoring of Municipal Finance Activities of the Ministry of Finance.
Mrs. Komisare graduated the faculty of Economics and Management of University of Latvia, obtaining a diploma of Economist, acquired the professional Master’s degree at Ventspils University College, as well as graduated the Institute of Financial Accountants, obtaining the diploma in the International Financial Reporting Standards. Knowledge is regularly updated with participation in professional courses and seminars.
Member of the Council
On 30th December 2019, she was appointed as the Member of the Council of State Joint-Stock Company State Real Estate.
The professional experience of Ieva Braunfelde is related to her work in the State administration – the management of the administrative work of the Ministry of Finance. The management of I. Braunfelde ensures policy development and coordination in the areas of State real estate, as well as private partnership and public procurement.
From 5th May 2014 until now, I. Braunfelde has been the Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Finance. Her work duties include the planning and management of the administrative work of the Ministry of Finance.
She obtained a Master’s Degree in Legal Science in the Faculty of Law at the University of Latvia and a Diploma for obtaining a Lawyer’s Qualification, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
She has improved her professional skills in various courses in relation to European Union issues, as well as gained knowledge of international accounting and audit standards.
